Help Wanted!

It is no accident that you navigated to this page. We need to understand that God intended for the body of Christ to function in the same way as a healthy human should. When our body is fully functional, we are obviously more effecient in whatever it is that we are striving to accomplish.

14 Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body", it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body...18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body...26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:14;18;26-27 (NIV)

At the Journey church, there are many ways in which you can become involved. Within the worship ministry, there are two categories in which one may volunteer. They are:

1: Sunday Morning Systems set-up and tear down

2: Praise and Worship Team musician and/or singer; audio and/or video tech

Currently we have positions open immediately for the following:

1. Sunday Morning set-up & tear down: We are in desperate need for help in the mornings setting up everything from speakers and sound equipment to chairs and the cafe' table. These positions are available as a weekly volunteer position or once-twice per month.

2. Praise & Worship team: Guitarist, drummer, percussionist, vocalist, various instruments (flute, harmonica, etc).

When considering a position on the praise and woship team, we would encourage you to contact the worship director if you possess the following criteria: A desire to serve; moderate to advanced skill level on the instrument (or your voice) that you play; have attended the Journey church for a minimum of six to eight weeks; have a clear understanding of the gospel and know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

3. Sound & Stage tech: Some experience is helpful, but not necessary if you are willing and able to learn and commit.
