The Journey Church Praise & Worship TeamWHY WE EXIST:
Our Purpose Statement:
The Journey Church Praise and Worship Team exists to edify and encourage the church while directing the hearts of the people we are leading toward God in worship.
Our Mission Statement:
It is our goal and humble service to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Savior by exalting Him as we worship and praise Him joyfully with our voices joined by instruments.
It is our goal and humble service to bring the church into the presence of the living God as we prepare the hearts of those in attendance to hear the Word of God as it is preached, allowing the Spirit of God to minister to the hearts of all those in attendance.
It is our primary goal and humble service to live a life of a true worshipper, not just during the worship service, but daily.
Our Biblical Mandate:
Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1 (NIV)
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess His name. Hebrews 13:15 (NIV)
Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord. Psalm 150:6 (NLT) Our Spiritual Gifts, Skills and Strengths:We believe that God has created everyone with specific abilities, skills, strengths and spiritual gifts. We believe that within the body of Christ is where these gifts, strengths and skills are used to their fullest, through the direction of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to effectively accomplish the will of God. We believe that God has designed each and every member of the body of Christ to work together using their own abilities and gifts to promote and advance His Kingdom. As the praise and worship team, we are honored to use our God-given skills, strengths and spiritual gifts for the glory and honor of God, and it is with joy that we share these skills, strengths and gifts in our service to Christ our Lord and to His church. Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to Your Name be the glory. Psalm 115:1a (NIV) |
